TILLMAN PLACE
Modular architectural prototypes for a community of five affordable houses on challenging intown lots. The design strategy embraces vernacular building patterns in the area and provides high ceilings with generous eaves, allowing owners to grow their house along with their families. Careful patterning of CMU and other affordable materials helps to create a sense of vibrancy and reduce the scale of the houses on the steep slopes they occupy.

BLUFFSIDE GARDENS
Working with a local developer, we developed a master plan for this 10-acre village of short term rental accommodations. Careful selection of native plants in the complex’s Phase 1 courtyard serves as an educational focal point for the site.

BEN BURTON PARK CANOE LAUNCH
This river trail access point provides a focal point for water users of all stripes, including anglers and dog walkers, as well as those just interested in watching the water. Carefully placed boulders transform a piece of functional infrastructure into a contemplative, garden-like moment along the river bank.
